Pinecone and Jackpine Enduros 2008

First the Pinecone, G's race. This was his last enduro of the season and, unfortunately, brake failure ended it before the finish line. As usual, G had a good time despite the several spills and tree bumps he endured before pulling off. His friend A was there and they spent every minute they weren't racing hanging together. Riding, figuring out new stunts with G's bicycle, etc. G's friend Justin and another, Calvin, were also at the event.

For the Jackpine, Paul organized another half dozen guys to enter and run the event. Anne, A, G and I gassed for them and had a blast doing it. They all finished, a feat, and enjoyed the challenge. Well, all but one. Josh crashed early in the event and broke his hand. A disappointment for him.

The rest of the guys--Paul, Brad, Jason, Randy, Tom, Mark, Todd and Larry--arrived at each gas stop smiling. Muddy and tired, but with sense of humor in tact.
