Red Bud 2008

Our fourth trip to Red Bud to see the pros race. A perfect weekend--weather, camping, cruising the pits, spectating, all of it. G met his faves and Mom did too--thanks to Dad (who wrangled a pit pass for me). Most of the usual crew accompanied us and it was just a relaxing, easy weekend.

Even without the other kids--who were unable to attend this year--G seemed content. It was as if he appreciated the break--from playdate buddies and daycare kids (in our home all week). He happily rode his bike and re-enacted motocross races with his toy dirtbikes while the adults visited. His only disappointment came when Mike Alessi suffered a horrible crash in the last moto of the day. It bothered him terribly, much like Ryan Dungey's crash last year. Still our sensitive, compassionate little boy.
