Spring Pine Cone Enduro 2007
Getting back to regular posts...this weekend saw the official kickoff of another dirtbiking season for my boys.
The Spring Pine Cone is the first of five family enduros that G will run with his Dad this summer. At least for this year, G will continue in the Buddy class, riding on his Dad's bike. It is G that officially signs up, places and takes home the trophy. But it is his Dad that powers the bike. Next year, we expect G to be taking to the same trails on his own PW50.
Following the race, G befriended a little boy, then another, and they spent the afternoon engrossed in mock motocross races.
Gone is my toddler. In his place, a little boy, less shy and far more independent. So serious at race time. Mimicking his Dad in posture and concentration. And he LOVES it when he gets mud on his boots. LOL
Kudos to AMA District 14 Enduro organizers for the time and energy they invest in "growing" dirtbike riders.
