Swim lessons

G's first swim lessons...eight 45 minute lessons and he can now swim underwater. As I have tried teaching him that for two years...well, I was happy for him. But mystified. The first of many instances I'm sure where he will respond to teachers better than Mom. Sigh.

Alpenfest 2007

We tackled Alpenfest as a family this year. Carnival rides, dinner and concerts on the Alpenstrasse, even the infamous beer tent. G is a festival kid--he loves the buzz of activity, the rides, the time with friends, all of it.

He and D spent one afternoon hitting all of the rides:

At the concert, G had the pleasure of meeting the Nelson Brothers--twin sons of Ricky Nelson.

We also spent time with J, G's friend visiting from Texas. And Barb, Mark and Darcie. We saw Peggi and Poppa John often and enjoyed lots of time with D and his Mom and Dad. Now that we've moved to town, we can look forward to more of the same every July.
