Splash In
Another fun-filled day where Mom forgot the camera. Ah well.
On this particular Saturday, we hung out with Bobby aboard his pontoon boat under more than 50 water planes buzzing Otsego Lake. G and his Dad saw a plane loop upside down; Bob and I missed it. Sigh.
From noon until 10 PM. The weather was perfect--warm but dry. The time between water and land perfectly balanced for dogs and kids. And sleeping in the next morning, necessary. Long but enjoyable day.

Fishing Lake Harold
Last month, G and his Dad went fishing. They took Collette's boat out on Lake Harold and easily caught (and released) more than a dozen fish.
"I'm not kidding Mom." The first words out of G's mouth after he raced from the car and scrambled up the steps to reach me. Picture him holding his arms out. "It was this big! I'm not kidding."
On the next trip, I was pulled along to document his catches. LOL

Memorial Day Weekend - Monday
Despite cool temps, G and I joined Tyler and Cameron in the pool Monday morning. Spending as much time as possible with them before they left for home. We said our goodbyes there and returned home to spend the rest of the day and night with G's uncles--Brad and Curt.
They provided G his 'bonus' day. More dirtbiking, hanging out, a trip to the beach--where the local snocross kid raced his snowmobile across the lake--and a cool dirtbiking movie to end the night. As expected, there were tears for G when he awoke Tuesday morning to find them gone. Easily countered with assurances of seeing them again soon at Red Bud. Whew.

Memorial Day Weekend - Sunday
On Sunday, the boys switched from motocross to woods riding. Everyone joined us at our house, where the guys--big and little--took off for single tracks and the girls whipped together too much food for the afternoon BBQ. Aside from being followed home by the DNR, the ride was good, the food tasty and the time for G magical.

Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday
A funfest for G. Crazy fun for three solid days.
We'll start with...Saturday - "Track Day"
We spent the day at the Onaway Motor Speedway--a local motocross track--with Uncle Brad, John and Tyler, and Jason. G adores Tyler, but only gets to see him once a year. This weekend was a bonus visit and they took advantage of every minute. Playing with toy dirtbikes and riding around the track grounds with G's Dad. G really felt like he and Tyler raced together and track officials found his enthusiasm cute enough to capture for their website.
